What changes is the ratio of build time to judgement time, not the need for the function. The 2026 planning data makes the squeeze explicit: median expected RevOps headcount change is 0% while sales and post-sales grow 10–20% — the same team absorbing a fifth more selling capacity on a bet that AI closes the gap.
