# How do we know if our MQL threshold is set too high or too low?

Measure conversion rate to the next stage by score band. If every band converts about the same, the score isn't discriminating and the threshold is arbitrary. If the top band converts far better and is tiny, you are starving the funnel — lower it and watch SDR capacity, not lead count.

Run it as a stated experiment with a hypothesis and a window rather than tuning by feel. The failure mode is moving the threshold and reading the lead-volume change as the result, when the number that matters is qualified conversion downstream and the time it takes to show up.
